Madison ranks third for startup funding

In a recent report from York IE ranking the fastest-growing startup cities, Madison ranks third in the nation. The report details funds raised, the number of rounds, and companies that had the biggest rounds of funding in 10 cities. U.S. startups overall received $58.7 billion in funding in Q2 2022 — down 18.6% from Q1 and down 20.8% year over year. Kirkland, Washington secured the top spot on the list, and Stanford, California came in second. Madison startups raised $299,195,995 in total funding, with Fetch Rewards ($240 million Series E), Moxe Health ($30 million Series B), and EnsoData ($20 million Series A) securing the highest funding rounds.
