Personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on the Cities Where People Are the Most Diligent With Credit in 2024 to highlight where people are at the least risk of credit score damage, fraud, and other financial negatives.
WalletHub compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities across six key metrics that indicate awareness and diligence in managing credit. Its data set ranges from the percentage of residents who have missed payments to the percentage of frozen credit reports and active bankruptcies.
Madison was ranked ninth most diligent with credit overall. Its other key rankings as of Q2 2024 include:
