Madison Public Library is recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from Sept. 15–Oct. 15, with the following series of events:

  • Sirena Flores portrait exhibition, September–December at Meadowridge Library;

  • First Friday Films — Under the Same Moon, Sept. 6 from 6–8 p.m. at Lakeview Library;

  • Saturday Music Series — Tzera, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m.–noon at Pinney Library;

  • Library Takeover — Red Heels: Steps Toward Justice, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m–noon at Central Library;

  • Friday Family Films — Encanto, Sept. 20 from 5:30–7:45 p.m. at Goodman South Madison Library;

  • Spanish Conversation Group, Sept. 26 from 7–8:30 p.m. and Oct. 24 from 7–8:30 p.m. at Sequoya Library;

  • First Friday Films — Stand and Deliver, Oct. 4 from 6–8 p.m. at Lakeview Library;

  • Friday Family Films — Coco, Oct. 18 from 5:30–7:45 p.m. at Goodman South Madison Library; and

  • Bilingual storytime (ages five and under), Oct. 19 from 10–10:30 a.m. at Pinney Library.
