Madison police reported the arrest of a business security guard on Wednesday morning following a dispute with a customer.
Around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the business located in the 800 block of East Washington Avenue in response to a disturbance, according to a statement by police spokesperson Korrie Rondorf.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that a dispute had taken place between the security guard and a customer. The security guard’s actions, including the threatened use of a pepper ball dispenser, resulted in his arrest.
The security guard, described as cooperative, was arrested on a tentative charge of disorderly conduct while armed.
