The Madison Plan Commission OK’d a 16-story apartment building with 320 micro units and no parking at 139 West Wilson St. on Monday, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The vote was initially delayed over vehicle circulation concerns due to the site only being 66 feet wide, and a plan for a single driveway and some short-term parking spaces.
Developer Randy Alexander said the micro units and lack of parking spaces will keep costs down by about 30% when compared to comparable apartments in the city.
