The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) announced that the University of Wisconsin Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic and Doyenne Group of Madison are recipients of WEDC’s Entrepreneurship Support Program to help develop or expand programs aimed at advancing entrepreneurship.
UW’s Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic received $50,000 to support entrepreneurship with legal services in rural Wisconsin. The program is expected to assist 50 businesses.
Doyenne Group of Madison received $65,000 to continue to create equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems in Madison and Milwaukee, where women entrepreneurs are recognized for their ventures and economic clout. The program is expected to assist 60 businesses.
Since the grant program was launched in 2016, WEDC has provided nearly $1.5 million to 28 organizations statewide.
