The San Damiano Friary, a historic waterfront property in Monona, will no longer be exempt from paying city property taxes, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Madison-based Freedom From Religion Foundation questioned the status of the property in a letter to Monona in December. Since the property hasn’t been used by the owners since 2015, it was reclassified as taxable.
