Literacy Network, a Madison nonprofit helping to improve adult literacy skills in Dane County, has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance. The accreditation comes after the successful completion of a rigorous evaluation process verifying the nonprofit’s accountability and trustworthiness. Through a review of 20 standards in the areas of governance, results, reporting, finances, and communications, nonprofits must meet each of the 20 standards to achieve accreditation. Literacy Network serves adult learners through classes and personal tutoring.
