The Madison Night Market returns on May 14, from 5-9 p.m. at North Carroll and West Mifflin streets on the Capitol Square, State Street and Gilman Street.
This year’s night markets are celebrating different cultures, with Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month the focus of the May 14 edition.
In addition to food and vendors selling a variety of wares, there will be two events focused on Asian heritage at the Peace Park Performance Stage.
From 5:30 – 6:45 p.m., the Wisconsin Tibetan Language & Culture School will present vibrant traditional dances from three historic regions of Tibet.
And from 7-9 p.m. the Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association will perform a lion dance and provide kung fu demonstrations.
