A nationwide survey of 3,034 business managers by Alta Technologies revealed the U.S. cities where confidence is at its highest, offering insight into the regions poised for economic growth. Business leaders in Milwaukee rank as the 76th most optimistic in the country, while those from Madison rank 113th.
Contributing factors to the positive outlook among business leaders in Milwaukee include job growth in manufacturing, finance, and health care. Business leaders are optimistic as new industries and investments drive economic expansion.
Madison, meanwhile, is a hub for biotech, health care, and education, with the University of Wisconsin playing a significant role in workforce development. The city’s startup scene and strong job market continue to attract businesses as well.
