The Madison Jazz Society has just three more concerts this spring before the group shifts its focus exclusively to educational programs, according to a report from The Capital Times. Low membership and declining attendance are pegged as the causes of the group’s performing demise.
The final concerts will take place on the following dates:
- Sunday, March 19 — Groovus
- Sunday, April 16 — Midiri Brothers Jazz Sextet
- Sunday, May 21 — Bob Schulz’s Frisco Jazz Band
All performances are 1–4 p.m. at the East Side Club, 3735 Monona Drive.
