The Madison International Trade Association appointed James Vanderloo, head of the Milwaukee branch for OEC Group, a global logistics company, to its board of directors.

According to a statement, Vanderloo was selected for his leadership in international logistics and “his proven track record of helping importers and exporters navigate the complexities of global trade.”

As MITA’s newest board member, Vanderloo will assist in helping to further advance its strategic direction and support the organization’s mission to spread international trade through education, networking, advocacy and collaboration.

“International trade serves as a vital engine for our regional economy,” Vanderloo said in a statement. “I look forward to contributing my decades of experience in the logistics industry to help enhance MITA’s programming and partnerships in an effort to create a more resilient and globally connected business community in Wisconsin.”

Vanderloo works closely with regional businesses to manage increasingly volatile supply chains.

His appointment comes as MITA continues to grow its membership, expand professional development opportunities and strengthen partnerships at the local, state, national and international levels.

OEC Group is one of the world’s original non-vessel operators with offices and representatives on every continent.
