The Madison Grocery Share website launched on Wednesday, providing a way for people to offer help or ask for food assistance, the Cap Times reports.

Friends Tara Kelley, Makenzie Stanberry and Corey Dahl created the website. People can fill out a form with their names, contact info, the general area of Madison they reside and how much money they can spend to help.

Those in need can fill out a similar form on what they need, like a gift card to a grocery store.

Within 24 hours of the site going live, 87 households in need signed up, asking for help to feed 388 people, totaling about $60,000.
