Madison gluten-free brewery plans expansion

ALT Brew of Madison is planning a $500,000 expansion to increase production and expand distribution outside of Wisconsin, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. Citing growing demand for its gluten-free beer products, the company has proposed an expansion to its 5,800 square-foot space at 1808 Wright St. on Madison’s north side. The expansion is expected to double the brewery’s annual capacity to about 1,000 barrels. Fewer than a dozen breweries exclusively make gluten-free beer.
