Buraka owner Markos Regassa said the Ethiopian restaurant may have to close if business doesn’t improve, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

The restaurant has been around in various forms for 33 years, but Regassa said there isn’t enough business.

The 1210 Williamson St. building currently has a sign on it advertising it for lease by the landlord. If business improves, Regassa said there will be no need to lease it.

Buraka began life as a food cart in 1992. The newspaper reports that Buraka’s location on State Street “became wildly popular” but had to move in 2013 for the construction of Hub Madison, a mixed-use development.
