The state Department of Children and Families revoked the license of Angels Joy Learning Center, a day care serving the Allied Dunn’s Marsh community, after a complaint was filed stating that a convicted murderer was employed there.

According to a channel3000.com report, Angela Ferguson, the center’s director, was allegedly paying her brother, Tracey Ferguson, “off the books” to conceal the arrangement.

Ferguson was convicted in 1993 of felony murder with intent to kill/injure and felony aggravated battery in Cook County, Illinois. He was paroled last January and hired by his sister in February.
