Madison software developer Environmental Software Consultants Inc. announced the release of SEVIEW 8, a contaminant modeling software.
The software is the first of its kind that simulates the migration of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFAS or “forever chemicals,” in both soil and groundwater.
PFAS do not break down in the environment or in the body, presenting a challenge for regulatory agencies. Exposure to PFAS chemicals has been linked to serious health issues, including cancer, liver and kidney disease, elevated cholesterol, birth defects and weakened immune systems.
