Madison College–Fort Atkinson, with its newly renovated welding and metal fabrication space, is hosting the annual Metal Mania event on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., according to a recent press release. The event will highlight the Madison College–Fort Atkinson Metal Fabrication with Welding Bolt-on program, in which students earn two degrees in one year.
Metal Mania features a six-team metal fabrication and welding competition. Among the competing teams are students from the Fort Atkinson, Johnson Creek, and Marshall School Districts, Madison College students, and community members.
Attendees have the opportunity to watch laser, welding, and blacksmith demos throughout the day. There will be games for all ages and food offerings as well.
