Jack Daniels has postponed his retirement as president of Madison College until the end of this year, according to the Wisconsin State Journal, as the college board continues to seek his successor.
The decision was announced by Madison College’s district board at its monthly meeting on Wednesday. The board requested Daniels remain for an additional six months past his original June 30 retirement date; he now plans to serve until Dec. 31.
Daniels is the second high-profile Madison College administrator to retire in recent years, following former provost Turina Bakken, who retired last June after 25 years at the college.
