Two of the six Grace Coffee Co. locations have received the most violations from Public Health Madison & Dane County, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Of the 564 restaurants and retail food stores reviewed by the agency this year, the most violations were given to Grace Coffee Co. locations on State Street (20 citations) and East Washington Avenue (19 citations). The health code violations range from sugar contaminated by wastewater, fly-covered pastries, and improperly stored raw meat. Grace Coffee owner Carlos Falcon said the violations have already been addressed and said the health department recommended that the company hire its own sanitation supervisor.
