Madison’s Specialty Care Free Clinic, which provides health care services to uninsured, low-income Wisconsin residents, is seeking additional volunteer clinicians to address a current shortage, WMTV15 reports.
The clinic offers care for Wisconsin’s 160,000 uninsured residents with a referral from a primary care provider. Physicians in over 20 specialities support the program, and the organization’s goal is to have two doctors in each of those areas.
Volunteers are asked to give a few hours of their time bi-monthly. Physicians are needed in specialities including:

Gastrointestinal tract;

Rheumatology;

Podiatry;

Endocrinology;
-
Pulmonary;
-
Allergy;
-
Nephrology;
-
Urology;
-
Ophthalmology;
-
Optometry; and
-
Psychiatry.
