Itaru Nagano and Andrew Kroeger were named winners of the Best Chef: Midwest James Beard Award in a Monday evening ceremony, Channel 3000 reports.
The business partners and chefs behind Fairchild, a classic cuisine restaurant on Monroe Street, came out ahead of four other finalists, including Francesco Mangaro from Osteria Papavero on King Street.
