The Madison Capitols announced on Tuesday that the team will relocate to a new state-of-the-art facility in DeForest ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
“Today marks an exciting milestone in the story of our organization,” LEGACY20 owner and Chairman Ryan Suter said in a statement. “LEGACY20 Arena at DeForest Yards is designed to elevate the experience for our players, fans, and community for many years to come.”
The new facility will seat 3,000 in stadium-style and premium seating. The ice arena will feature a center-hanging videoboard, expanded concourse space and a full sports bar.
DeForest Yards will feature a covered outdoor rink that will host hockey during the winter and can be converted into a community space in the summer for concerts, markets and more.
The entertainment district will also include a second location of Aranda’s Mexican Restaurant and Youngblood Brewery.
“Moving into a new facility raises the standard for our entire program,” Capitols Head Coach and General Manager Andy Brandt said in a statement. “The training space, locker room setup, video space, hydrotherapy and developmental resources will all be great for our program. The new facility shows players, families, agents and scouts that Madison is a top destination in the USHL.”
Pricing and seating map for the 2026-27 season will be announced later.
