The initial sanitizing plan for personal floatation devices (PFDs) at Madison Boats called for a 72-hour quarantine period after each use, and this caused the organization to not have enough PFDs for the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to an emailed message from the organization.
Although Madison Boats had to close May 26 and 27, it has since revised its sanitation process, received many donations of PFDs, and has reopened for business.
