Madison Black Restaurant Week will be held Aug. 14–21, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The 7th annual event aims to build recognition for Black-owned food businesses. The event will feature Black-owned restaurants, caterers, food trucks, dessert makers, and others for the week-long event sponsored by the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce. People can vote for their favorites in three categories: restaurant, food cart, and caterer or dessert vendor. The event will also include a Food Tasting Jamboree from 2–5 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the FEED Kitchens parking lot at 1219 N. Sherman Ave. Attendees can purchase $5 samples from caterers, food carts, and specialty food services.
