Madison Black Restaurant Week will return from Aug. 10-17 for its 10th year to honor August as Black Business Month. The week-long event highlights African American, African and Caribbean cuisine from Black-owned restaurants and culinary businesses across Dane County.

Throughout the week, participating Black-owned restaurants in the Madison area will offer discounts, special menus and unique dining experiences. The event will kick off with the Madison Black Restaurant Week Food Taste Jamboree on Aug. 10 at Warner Park.

Jamboree attendees will have the opportunity to sample diverse cuisines, meet local chefs and learn about the traditions behind featured dishes.

Community members can also vote in support of their favorite Black-owned businesses for the Best of Madison Black Restaurant Week recognition. Voting will open Aug. 10 at 2 p.m., and winners will be celebrated at the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce’s September Network Mixer on Sept. 18.
