Starting this fall, Madison’s Trek Travel, which for over 20 years has led bicycle tours around the world, will offer weeklong hiking trips in Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, and Italy, according to WisBusiness. By 2025, the company will expand trips to the Italian Dolomites and French Alps.
Closely associated with Waterloo-based Trek Bicycles, Trek Travel also offers walking, sea kayaking, and whitewater rafting as single-day options on some bike tours.
During this summer’s trips, typical days will cover eight to 10 miles, with stops for lunch and local sightseeing.
