LÜM, a music streaming service and social network, closed the second seed round of funding with $3 million in investments, according to a story from WisBusiness.com.
The company has announced a partnership with R&B and hip-hop artist Ne-Yo as its global ambassador. LÜM was started from a UW–Madison think tank that focused on rapidly expanding industries with antiquated business models and became the first-ever platform to allow for direct-to-artist virtual gifting on a western music streaming platform. Second-seed funding investors include the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, Wisconsin Investment Partners, Bascom Investors, and several individuals.
