Madison-based music service launches artist competition

LÜM, a social music community and artist discovery app, announced the launch of an online music competition, Coast to Coast. The contest is a bracket-style elimination competition that will feature four regions, 32 cities, and 160 artists, all competing to determine which local music scene has the best independent artists. The grand prize for the winning city is $25,000. Through May 24, independent artists from across the U.S. can apply to participate in the competition and represent their city.
