The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended the law license of Madison attorney Michael R. Bauer for a year for reportedly mismanaging client trust funds.
According to a Wisconsin State Journalarticle, Bauer, a partner at Bauer & Bach, improperly shifted $376,000 from client and personal accounts without client knowledge between December 2013 and October 2014. He was also ordered to pay $15,727 for the cost of the investigation.
No clients lost money as a result, according to Bauer’s attorney, Michael Short.
