Madison area tech companies partner to improve COVID-19 testing

Epic Systems, Exact Sciences, and Promega have joined forces to improve the efficiency of COVID-19 testing in Wisconsin by helping to build a better infrastructure for testing protocols, according to a report from WisBusiness.com. Factors such as testing space and testing collection supplies spurred the conversation between the three companies. Epic Systems and Exact Sciences have worked together to create COVID Connect, an interface to expand testing efforts around the state. The interface allows community testing sites to perform 40 more COVID-19 tests per hour. The three companies also plan to find a faster way to test results with less supply-related concerns.
