Mad Lit series begins tomorrow on State Street

An every other Friday night music series featuring food, art, and vendors begins July 2 and will run through Oct. 8 in the 100 block of State Street, according to a report from Wisconsin State Journal. The Mad Lit event will showcase musicians and artists of color in a celebration of community and recovery. Pop-up shops, visual exhibits, and community-led workshops will also be included in the series. Bands playing the series include R&B artists Sammy + J. Vocal, Orquesta SalSoul Del Mad, Natty Nation, and The Adem Tesfaye Band. Other attractions include the “Spoken Word and Comedy Showcase,” a DJ Block Party, Rey Cruz, and Supa Friends.
