The Madison Arts Commission (MAC) is celebrating 50 years of dedication to public art and community art-making with a free event at the Madison Children’s Museum, according to the city of Madison. The celebration will take place on Dec. 5 from 4–8 p.m.
The event will feature entertainment by Madison Circus Space performers and hands-on art-making with artists TetraPAKMAN, Lesley Anne Numbers, Angelica Contreras, and Djam Vivie. Madison band V05 will perform disco hits for all ages. Refreshments will be available.
The celebration is sponsored by Friends of the Madison Arts Commission (FoMAC) founding member and former MAC chair Barbara “Bobbi” Schrank. The nonprofit (FoMAC) also announced that it more than doubled the goal for 2024 fundraising, with individual giving and $50,000 gifts from both the Evjue Foundation and the Hoke Family Foundation.
