M3 Insurance announced its promotion of Kacie Conroy to vice president of information technology (IT). In this capacity, she will be responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership of M3’s IT team as well as technology and innovation initiatives across the company’s offices. She will also collaborate with industry groups like BrokerTech Ventures and the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers to share insights and bring best practices and tools back to M3. Her position on the board of directors at BrokerTech Ventures has helped drive growth for M3 in an evolving market.

Conroy joined M3 in 2015 as an information technology manager. In 2018, she was promoted to director of information technology and later advanced to senior director. She has 15 years of experience in building technology strategies and teams — both at M3 and in previous roles — and her background includes establishing product management and business analysis practices, leading large-scale agile development teams, driving innovation strategy, and leading technical and security operations.

Conroy holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration, and has over 20 years of experience in custom software development.

Conroy leads the Girls Educating Themselves about Information Technology program, which introduces young girls to IT careers; was previously the co-founder and CEO of EffortlessFood LLC, a mobile app; participates in programs like Cybergirlz IT Camp, KidsCodeCamp, Expanding Your Horizons, and Learn Earn and Prosper; and volunteers for the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
