LunART Chamber Music Collective will continue to celebrate women in the arts with its 2024–25 concert season, kicking off with “Winds of Change,” featuring guest bassoonist Eleni Katz for a first-time collaboration with flutist Iva Ugrcic and pianist Alyona Waldo.
The opening concert will take place at Madison’s Arts + Literature Laboratory, 111 S. Livingston St., on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., followed by the ensemble’s debut appearance at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hillside Theater at Taliesin, 6604 Highway 23, Spring Green, on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m.
Audiences will experience music by women composers, past and present. The program will fuse influences of African American spirituals, Welsh folk music, and Eastern music traditions. A question-and-answer session with the artists will follow each concert.
This project is sponsored by Microtone Media, Bolz Center, and Marriott Daughters Foundation.
