Madison-based LÜM (Live Undiscovered Music) is relaunching its digital space to use decentralized technology including virtual reality and more immersive social media experiences, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The startup, founded in 2018, will continue operations at 821 E. Washington Ave. and will build a new digital platform using blockchain technology that allows fans to directly contribute to the financial success of the musicians they support. The model reportedly doesn’t require artists to sell their masters, give up equity in themselves, or spend time creating exclusive content.
