Atlanta-based LogistiCare announced it will permanently lay off 64 employees at its Madison call center starting in July, due to the loss of a state contract. The layoffs include 33 customer service representatives and 13 quality-assurance specialists. The 64 jobs represent just a portion of the employees at the facility, which will remain open. LogistiCare had provided non-emergency medical transportation for Medicaid patients. Those services will be transitioned to a new vendor, Medical Transportation Management.
