Logan’s Madtown, a downtown Madison bar and restaurant at 332 W. Johnson St., suddenly closed just as it was about to appear before the city’s Alcohol License Review Committee for a possible license revocation hearing. About two-dozen employees lost jobs as a result. Based on audit results, the city found the establishment to be making too much from alcohol sales compared to food. Logan’s owner, Joe Bendetti, who also operates locations in Oklahoma and Texas, is crying foul and refusing to surrender the liquor license he says he worked so hard for.
