Nextt, a social network startup that helps friends plan small get-togethers, received seed funding of $700,000 from investors, including Venture Investors of Madison. Mark McGuire, co-founder of Jellyfish.com and Alice.com, founded the company along with Emmanuel Buah. Nexxt, which could launch later this summer, will be available on the Web and as a mobile app, and is currently in private testing. The company already has seven employees, including the owners.
