Local organizations to match donations during Salvation Army’s Red Kettle drive

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles are returning for the organization’s largest fundraising drive of the year, according to NBC15.

A grand opening will take place at Metcalfe’s Market in Hilldale on Friday, Nov. 10, with the kickoff event running from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. There will be free music and coffee provided.

More than 60 Dane County retailers are involved in the drive this year and will host volunteers with red kettles raising money for social services nationwide, including family and women’s shelters, housing programs, emergency disaster funds, and more.

Six organizations have offered to match donations on specific dates this year. They include:

  • Miron Construction on Nov. 11;
  • Only in Wisconsin Giving on Nov. 18;
  • Associated Bank on Nov. 25;
  • CMS of Madison on Dec. 2;
  • Bank of Sun Prairie on Dec. 8;
  • Connexus Credit Union on Dec. 9; and 
  • One Community Bank on Dec. 16.
