Local organizations receiving ‘Dane Arts’ grants totaling $97.5K

Interim Dane County Executive Jamie Kuhn and the Dane County Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission announced on Friday that dozens of local organizations that promote community arts, history, and culture are receiving $97,500 total in “Dane Arts” grants. Forty-two projects and four short-order grants were awarded in Cycle 2 for “Dane Arts” grants in 2024. Organizations requested over $183,800 in support.

The “Dane Arts” grants are funded by county dollars in conjunction with private donations from Diane Ballweg and the Endres Manufacturing Co., W Jerome Frautschi, and Pleasant Rowland Foundations. A list of recipients is available here.

In 2024, Dane County’s Dane Arts will award over $210,000 in public-private funds to nonprofit organizations, schools, individuals, and municipalities for community arts programs offered countywide.

The next grant deadline is 4 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2025.
