Tutankhamun “Coach” Assad, CEO and founder of the nonprofit Mellowhood Foundation, is collaborating with Public Health Madison & Dane County to bring a testing center to Madison’s southwest side, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

The organization hopes the new testing site will aid communities of color that are disproportionately impacted by the novel coronavirus. In Wisconsin, Black people make up 23% of the deaths and 18% of total COVID-19 cases. However, Black people in the state represent less than 7% of the population.
