An analysis from SmartAsset resulted in a list of the state’s top-performing companies between January 2011 and March 2016, based in part on a stock performance index, dividends paid, and volatility.
The top performing company was Nicolet Bankshares Inc., based in Green Bay. Anchor BanCorp, which was just purchased by Old National Bank in May, came in at number four.
Also making the top 10 were locally based Alliant Energy (#6), Spectrum Brands (#7), and First Business Financial Services Inc. (#9).
Rounding out the list was Fiserv (#2), Physicians Realty Trust (#3), AO Smith Corp. (5), WEC Energy Group Inc. (#8), and Baylake Corp. (#10).
