Local company named exporter of the year

Madison makeup company Graftobian has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Wisconsin Small Business Exporter of the Year, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. Graftobian manufactures makeup and body paint for professional theater companies, television shows, and Hollywood productions. The business is currently completing a new 10,400-square-foot production facility adjacent to its current building at 510 Tasman St. in Madison that houses a corporate headquarters, warehouse, packaging, and distribution center. After the new facility’s completion this fall, the company will move the majority of its makeup production from a 5,000-square-foot facility in Brooklyn, New York. The local expansion of the company is expected to add another 40 employees.
