FPC Live, also known as Frank Productions Concerts, reported that downtown Madison outdoor music tradition Live on King has been canceled for this year, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. FPC Live owns The Sylvee, Majestic Theatre, and other music venues in the city.

Since 2011, Live on King has shut down the 100 block of King Street or the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. for six Friday night street concerts held June–August. FPC Live cited “production logistics and sourcing,” with date conflicts for vendors and touring artists, as well as various construction projects downtown among reasons for this year’s series cancellation.

FPC Live is hoping to resume the event in 2025 and recently highlighted its pride-themed Make Music Madison event, Live on Queen, which will be held at The Sylvee on June 21.
