The Little Palace restaurant, owned by sisters Jacqueline Le and Stephanie Le, is moving into the former Mint Mark spot at 1929 Winnebago St., the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The Le sisters had operated the restaurant at 225 King St. since December 2021 but ended their lease there in late February. The spot serves Americanized Chinese cuisine.
Mint Mark left the 1,300-square-foot Winnebago Street space last May after six years and opened in the new Standard building at the corner of East Washington Avenue and First Street in June, doubling its capacity.
The Le sisters are the nieces of Jean Tran, who opened the Ha Long Bay restaurant with her husband, Christopher Tran, on Williamson Street in 2009. Their mother, Vanthaly Le, has long been a kitchen staff member there.
Jacqueline and Stephanie Le took over Ha Long Bay and closed it last April for renovations, at which time they began offering part of Ha Long Bay’s menu and part of Little Palace’s menu at a hybrid location after briefly closing the King Street restaurant in December 2023.
The two plan to reopen Ha Long Bay at 1353 Williamson St. and open Little Palace in its new location shortly after.
