Literacy Network, a Madison-based education nonprofit, has been awarded the Incentive Grant by the Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE), a national organization dedicated to advancing the field of adult literacy.

Literacy Network has spearheaded a program focused on more deeply engaging and supporting the adult learners they serve. Its Student Services department includes five staff members who support all students with personalized wraparound services.

Literacy Network aims to become more student-centered in its approach to education, starting with a new Student Advisory Board. COABE’s Incentive Grant will allow Literacy Network to create a space to amplify student voices. This program will empower adult learners by giving them a platform to voice their thoughts on agency growth, share their insights, and develop leadership skills.
