The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau released a report projecting that the state of Wisconsin will have a more than $500 million revenue surplus through 2015, and debates immediately flared as to how best to use the extra money. Everything from school funding to tax cuts to worker training are being considered.
Gov. Scott Walker’s proposed 2013-15 $68 billion budget is still being debated, but lawmakers hope a budget will be passed by the end of June.
