Corey Pompey |
Corey Pompey was named UW–Madison band director, succeeding longtime UW band director Mike Leckrone, who retired after 50 years.
Pompey most recently served as director of athletic bands and associate director of bands for the University of Nevada–Reno, but also has some Big Ten experience prior to that as Penn State University’s assistant director of bands, according to a UW–Madison release.
Pompey joins UW–Madison on July 20.
