Two lease extensions totaling 233,694 square feet have been made to keep Thermo Fisher Scientific located at Research Way in Middleton.
The two 20-year extensions are for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD clinical research business.
Thermo Fisher is a Boston-based life sciences company. It will continue to occupy both laboratory buildings in support of the business’s growth and commitment to advancing life sciences innovation.
“This lease represents one of the largest life science lease deals in the U.S. this year and reflects Thermo Fisher’s confidence in the Madison market as a hub for life sciences and clinical research,” CBRE’s Chase Brieman said in a statement. “Our team is proud to have partnered with Nuveen, the city of Middleton and the state of Wisconsin, whose combined investment and incentive packages were pivotal to delivering a solution that meets the tenant’s long-term objectives of growth and innovation, while strengthening the region’s innovation economy.”
The properties are located just west of U.S. highways 12 and 14, near several business parks, as well as numerous local amenities.
CBRE is a commercial real estate services and investment firm. Nuveen is a wholly owned subsidiary of TIAA and a global investment manager.
